The Lord blessed me to spend about 8 years teaching English with EF Education First a Language Institute, and even that wasn’t random...that was God preparing me. He placed me in classrooms with students from all over the world so I could learn how to help people from children, university students and business professionals speak, understand, and grow in their confidence using English daily.

To step into that role, I met the standard requirements for English language teachers...strong fluency, structured teaching training (TEFL-style methods), lesson planning, pronunciation coaching, grammar support, and creating engaging lessons that actually make sense. And by God’s grace, I was recognized numerous times for my performance and my ability to connect with students in a way which made them feel safe and confident to speak.

But if I look back, God had been building this up in me long before that. In my first business, God led me into the space of corporate conflict resolution, where I was still teaching...just in business and school environments. I provided training on diversity and inclusion, unlawful discrimination, workplace bullying, sexual harassment prevention, etc. What looked like corporate work was still an assignment to teach, guide, and bring clarity to complex situations. The Lord used that season to sharpen my ability to explain difficult topics, lead structured training sessions, and create safe spaces for real conversations. Even then, He was preparing me...building my voice, my confidence, and my ability to teach with both truth and compassion. Additionally, I served as a substitute teacher from kindergarten through high school, an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) tutoring therapist, and a Special Needs Coordinator for K–12 students.

And yet, even way before that, the Lord led me to teaching when I served 21 years in the USAF as a career training instructor, mediator, facilitator, equal opportunity and alternate dispute resolution specialist.

The point is this, every role taught me patience, discernment, structure, and how to meet people exactly where they are. What looked like “just jobs” at the time were actually assignments...God was qualifying me step by step as I stayed obedient.

And then… He called me higher.

The Lord led me to step away from traditional teaching to fully walk in my calling as a Bible teacher. And now, everything He trained me in all those years comes together in this space. This is not something I built on my own...this is what obedience looks like over time.

God qualified me by placing me in rooms, giving me experiences, and teaching me how to teach His people with clarity and care.

So now?

I get to joy of combining English and Bible study in a way only He could orchestrate 🙌🏽😁

I hold three degrees in Social Services, Business, and Psychology in addition to my Language teaching certifications. Also, I’m a Certified Business Strategist, Certified National Media Expert, a co-author alongside a bestselling author, and a retired USAF veteran of 21 years.

Sis, I've lead Bible studies both in person, virtually, officially and unofficially for over 10+ years...but every title, every role, every opportunity points back to Him.

Because truth is… I didn’t qualify myself.

God did.

And this right here?
